The South Brent Community Library in the Old School Community Centre is open in its brighter, more welcoming facility in the Beacon Room on Mondays (10am-12noon), Wednesdays (2-4pm), Fridays (10am-12noon) and Saturdays (10am-12noon). Donations of books in good condition welcome.

The children’s section of the library has been launched and will be open during normal community library hours.

-            The South Brent Archive is now in the library in the Beacon Room in the Old School Community Centre and will be open on days to be announced and viewed by appointment by contacting Steph Bradley (see below). We are looking for new volunteers, so that we can open more often. If you love local history, like talking to people, and/or are great at detail and enjoy cataloguing (training given) or maybe you are a techie and would like to help us to digitise our collection... we would love to have you on board!” Entry to the Archive is free, but donations are welcome and will be used to buy archival quality storage materials to preserve the collection as well as contribute to the upkeep of the Old School Community Centre (which is still in need of a new roof!).
