Activity Coffee mornings fortnightly on Mondays from 10.30am – 12.00noon, are very much appreciated by people who don’t get a lot of social contact and who love a chat, a game of something and a cuppa. Do drop in if you’re passing – it’s a good way to get a feel for some of the work SB&DC does.
South Brent & District Caring is now hosting a weekly ‘Wednesday Club’, in the Old School Community Centre from 2-4pm. These Wednesday afternoons are open to anyone who fancies some company, games or singing, particularly those who may be caring for a loved one and may not be able to get out very much – loved ones are also very welcome. Everyone is welcome - please do come along and join us! The club incorporates the already popular Memory Café and Carer’s Support Group (originally held on Tuesday afternoons), offering dementia information and support:
The Carers’ Support Group runs alongside the memory Café and is open to anyone who is caring for a relative/friend for whatever reason. The support group will be the chance for carers to meet others who are in a similar position to themselves, to exchange stories and ideas and gain more information on what help is available to them. All of this whilst enjoying a tea or coffee.
